Fresh Controls For Wastewater
Holland Board of Public Works provides municipal wastewater services to the City of Holland, Fillmore Township and Laketown Township. Holland Wastewater Treatment Plant had a plan in place to upgrade their plant and selected Windemuller’s automation and electrical groups to get the job done. The main task for our automation group was to remove the antiquated relay control systems and replace with an updated PLC for five separate control panels. These panels were located both indoors and outdoors throughout the property. Our team strategically planned around the weather and set the outdoor panels as our main priority before the cold temperatures set in.
In addition to making the control panel switch, the plant needed to remain in operation while this work was completed. With a backup control system in place, this is an unpredictable challenge for our team, requiring thorough planning to ensure we could complete the swap efficiently. Due to our team’s extensive preparation, we completed the transition successfully and on time. Throughout the project, our electrical and automation teams communicated and worked together to guarantee the job ran smoothly and resulted in a happy customer.
